Credits and billing
iClear runs on a credit model. Every plan includes a monthly credit allowance; you can also top up with pay-as-you-go credits at any time. All payments are processed securely by Stripe.
Free trial
Every new account starts with a 30-day free trial — no payment details required. You receive 9 credits per week to explore the platform across all your submissions.
Subscription plans
When you're ready for a paid plan, choose the tier that fits your team. All plans are billed monthly and managed through Stripe.

Key differences between plans:
Essentials — includes guest sharing, smart search, and Box/Figma/SharePoint integrations. No asset comparison or API access.
Plus — adds asset comparison. Unlimited workspaces and members.
Ultimate — adds API access and the best top-up credit rate.
Enterprise — bespoke SLA, white-label, and API-first. Includes higher API limits and negotiated top-up pricing. Contact us for a quote.
Pay-as-you-go top-up
Don't need a subscription? Buy credits individually at £20 per credit with no monthly commitment. Top-up credits expire after 90 days.
Subscribers can also top up at a discounted rate — Essentials and Plus get a discounted rate, Ultimate gets the best available rate, and Enterprise pricing is negotiated.
How credits are used
Each submission costs credits based on asset type and size. The costs below apply when running the CAP sidekick — Current Affairs is included free alongside it.

Additional sidekicks
The credit costs above cover one regulatory sidekick (e.g. CAP). Running an additional regulatory sidekick costs +1 credit per sidekick. Proofreader and Current Affairs sidekicks are always free.

Credit expiry
All credits — whether included in a plan or topped up — expire 90 days after purchase. Enterprise plans have custom expiry terms. Expired credits are clearly marked on the Billing page so you can see exactly what's still usable.
Buying credits and managing your subscription
Go to the Billing page to:
View your current credit balance and what's included in your plan.
Buy a top-up credit bundle.
Upgrade or change your subscription.
View your purchase history, including credits bought, expiry dates, and remaining balance per purchase.
All purchases and subscription payments are handled by Stripe. VAT is applied automatically and an invoice is generated for every transaction.
Who can manage billing
Billing is restricted to Organisation Admins. Only they can open the Billing page, buy credits, manage subscriptions, and update payment details. Other team members can continue submitting assets as long as your organisation has a credit balance, but won't have access to billing controls.
